The interesting thing about this recipe is that it is in my father’s handwriting. Not his hurried scrawl often relegated to his legal pads, but his upper case writing, best known for birthday cards and gift tags. The other interesting thing is that the recipe is written on 4H stationary. And not just any 4H stationary, but stationary from the National 4H Center in DC! (My father has a long and storied association with the 4H clubs.)
Funny thing is that I can’t recall either my mother or my father ever making barbecue buns. Dad, what’s the story? Where did the recipe come from? Did you ever make the buns?
- How old is it?
- circa 1970
